Service Manuals Donated
by the family of
 Miller M. Duris
(1928-2014)
Miller learned about radios and electronics during his service in the US Navy from 1945 to 1949. After his military service, Miller returned to Hillsboro, Oregon, and worked for Meltebeke’s Furniture repairing TV’s and appliances.  He joined a fledging Beaverton electronics company, Tektronix, in 1951 as its 351st employee.  In 1959, the family moved to Virginia where Miller managed Tektronix Washington, D.C. field office.  Returning to Hillsboro, Oregon in 1967, he continued his Tektronix career until 1977. While working at Tektronix in the 1950’s, Miller did part-time repair work at the Hillsboro Radio & TV Shop owned by Vic Fricke.  When Mr. Fricke retired, he turned over the files, manuals and books to Miller, who saved everything.
